Flight Training

Learn how to fly with Aero Elite.

Considering an aviation career? Want the fun and freedom of being a pilot? Our flight training center has the program that is just right for you.

We offer professional instruction to help you attain a private pilot’s license – the first step in aviation. You can level-up your PPL flying skills by seeking an instrument rating or becoming a certified flight instructor.

Private Pilot License

approx. $18,000 – $20,000 *

40 hours of flight instruction and solo flight time

Your private pilot license (PPL) gives you wide-open access to the sky. You can carry passengers and enjoy a new way to travel and explore the country.

To earn your PPL, you must receive and log ground training from an FAA-authorized flight instructor. You’ll need to pass a knowledge exam and complete a flight test with an FAA inspector or pilot examiner.

* Pricing varies based on your schedule and ability to progress through training. Contact us for a customized training program.
What is the training schedule?

Your schedule is up to you! We work with you to find the times that are right for you. You can come before or after work or whenever your schedule allows.

How many lessons are there a week?

The ideal schedule is 2 to 3 times a week, but we know that many of you have busy schedules. Your learning pace is up to you, and we will try to match you with an instructor who is available at your preferred times.

How long is each lesson?

Each lesson is about 2 hours long. That includes a 30-minute pre-flight brief, 1 hour of flying, and a 30-minute post-flight brief.

How much of the instruction is in an airplane vs. a simulator?

A flight simulator at AE facility is used for about 3 hours of the instruction. The rest of the flight time is in an airplane.

What final exams will I need to take?

After 40 hours of instruction, there is

  • A written test administered by a testing company, which we will prep you for with an online curriculum
  • A 3-hour oral exam and 1.5-hour flight exam with a FAA examiner at the AE facility

Instrument Rating

approx. $8,000 – $10,000 *

40 hours of instrument training and 50 hours of cross-country flight as pilot-in-command

Learning instrument flight rules (IFR) empowers you to fly in adverse weather conditions and is the next step after completing your PPL. You’ll need to meet the flight hours requirement and pass knowledge and flight exams.
