Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring a friend?
Yes you can! Our Cessna 172 and the Beech Musketeer can seat up to 4. Just let us know you want to bring a friend when you sign up so we can reserve the right plane for you. Keep in mind that only one person will sit up front and handle the controls, but a friend or two can sit in the back and enjoy the view. Also, riders aged 12 and up can accompany as guests if an adult is the main participant on the flight.
Can I take photos and videos?
Absolutely! We encourage you to take pictures and videos so you can remember your experience. Our instructor may also bring a camera to take some photos of you for you to take home.
How old do I need to be?
The minimum age for a Discovery Flight is 16 years old. Riders aged 12 and up can accompany as guests if an adult is the main participant on the flight.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Some weather issues, such as heavy rain, fog, or severe turbulence, mean that we won’t safely be able to take you on a Discovery Flight. If this happens, which is rare, we will reschedule your flight at the next available opportunity.
What should I wear?
Wear something you’re comfortable in and use closed-toe shoes to operate the pedals. The aircraft is comfortable on the inside, but you’ll spend some time outside walking around the hangar and plane during the pre-flight check, so dress appropriately for the weather.
